Dr. Katherine Hein is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Framingham, Massachusetts. Dr. Hein is a native of Michigan, where she attended college and medical school at the University of Michigan. She then trained at Harvard University in general surgery. After 2 years of scientific research studying the effects of Type II diabetes on the aorta, she returned to the Harvard University Plastic Surgery residency program for two years of plastic surgery residency. Finally, she completed another year of training focused on aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery, again at Harvard University.

Dr. Hein has been practicing as a plastic surgeon in Framingham since 1999. She believes in providing high-quality, individualized treatment that meets the your goals with the least risk and greatest improvement. She truly believes that feeling more confident in your looks makes you more confident in your actions.

Dr. Hein’s passion for high quality patient care led her to graduate from Yale University’s School of Management Healthcare Focused Executive MBA program in 2012. Dr. Hein brings the leadership skills she learned at Yale to her role as the Vice Chair for Quality in the Department of Surgery at MetroWest Medical Center.

Dr. Hein’s warm and caring manner are echoed in her staff’s interactions with patients.
