The Growth in Popularity – Labiaplasty Vaginal Rejuvenation

Labiaplasty is a form of vaginal rejuvenation cosmetic surgery in women’s intimate health that is becoming more and more popular every year. Many women feel that their inner vaginal lips, also known as Labia Minora, are too long or deformed. Labiaplasty rejuvenates the labia and reduces the size of the inner lips by removing excess labial tissue. This improves the look of a woman’s most intimate area. Women choose to get this surgery for a variety of reasons, ranging from painful twisting and tugging of the labia during intercourse or exercise, to itching and irritation from wearing certain clothing. When a woman’s labia is too long or enlarged, it can cause not only physical pain but also lowered self-esteem. For many women, labiaplasty makes all the difference between a life of chronic anxiety and discomfort, and one of confidence and pleasure.

In 2013, labiaplasty was the second fastest growing plastic surgery trend after butt augmentation and it is very much still on the rise. In 2016, labiaplasty surgery increased by 39 percent from the previous year, with over 12,000 procedures performed. Dr. William LoVerme and his team know that for some women this topic can be difficult to talk about. However, they are professionals who strive to help their patients love their bodies. Patients who have undergone labiaplasty with Dr. LoVerme have reported that thanks to the surgery they feel more self-confident and experience less or no discomfort while wearing tight clothing, exercising, or having sex.

In addition to labiaplasty, Dr. LoVerme has an exciting new machine, the BTL Ultra Femme 360. The first of its kind, this machine and procedure is helping to usher in a new era in women’s intimate health. Through the use of radiofrequency waves, the BTL Ultra Femme 360 tightens and raises the labia, decreases the width of the vaginal opening and canal, and improves natural lubrication. It also improves urinary stress incontinence, menopausal dryness and sexual satisfaction. The procedure coordinates well with some patients needing labiaplasty, but is also able to be used individually for patients depending on their needs. The procedure is done in our office with no pain or downtime and is a non-invasive. We recommend a series of three short (15 minute) appointments each one month apart for best results.

You should not have to live your life embarrassed and ashamed of your body, or in constant pain doing simple activities you love. If you were born with a large or irregular labia or if you developed the condition with age or after childbirth, have urinary stress incontinence, or menopausal dryness, call our office today at 781-263-0011 to take the next steps in rejuvenating your body.
