Looking as Youthful as You Feel

Q2-facial-rejuvenation-systemDo you wish you could look as young as you feel? As we age, our body slows down the production of two important proteins, collagen and elastin, which help to preserve healthy, youthful looking skin. Without these proteins, our skin starts to droop and sag, causing wrinkles, creases, deep folds, and sunken pockets. With Dr. William LoVerme’s Q2 facial rejuvenation system, men and women alike can counter these signs of aging so they can appear as young as they feel.

Initiated by Dr. William LoVerme, our Q2 system is the basis for all skin rejuvenation treatments at Accurate Aesthetics Plastic Surgery. We use the concepts of Quantity and Quality to first remove excess skin and then improve the skin health and the complexion. Dr. LoVerme has designed his facelift surgery to raise and tighten the soft tissue of the skin and restore muscle tone. Though the facelift rejuvenation system can be performed alone, many patients choose to combine it with other revitalizing procedures, such as a neck lift, eyelid surgery or a brow lift to maximize the cosmetic benefits. For individuals who choose to undergo a neck lift, Dr. LoVerme combines this with the facelift to keep healing time minimal. He uses the SMAS (submuscular aponeurotic sling) approach to tighten both the skin and muscle to give natural but excellent results.

Patients recovering from a facelift and/or neck lift surgery should expect to take one to two weeks off from work or their normal activities. Depending on the patient’s lifestyle habits, the aesthetic advantages of facelift surgery should last five to ten years.

Dr. LoVerme also offers an advanced non-invasive technique called Exilis Elite. This procedure is a radiofrequency tightening of the skin without an incision or extended recovery time. With Exilis Elite, you can achieve a facial lift that is often referred to as a “mini face lift.” The Exilis Elite procedure is effective on the forehead and can lift the eyebrows to enhance the eyes’ appearance by making them look more alert. The jowls can also be elevated and the fat of the neck can appear minimized. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure may take anywhere from a half hour to a few hours and there will be multiple sessions. While not a substitute for a surgical facelift, the Exilis Elite procedure can help people with a small amount of sagging skin and wrinkles with results lasting up to two years.

All of these techniques are often combined with the “liquid face lift” of Botox and fillers decrease wrinkles giving back the youthful volume to the face.
